Spot clean the tank daily by removing any uneaten food and waste. Every few weeks, replace the substrate and clean the tank and decorations with dechlorinated water. This helps maintain a healthy environment for your hermit crabs.

Signs of molting include less activity, digging more often, and a duller exoskeleton. During this time, it's best to leave your hermit crab undisturbed as they are vulnerable.

Hermit crabs can be handled, but it's best to do so gently and infrequently to avoid causing stress. Always support them from underneath and let them walk onto your hand rather than grabbing them.
